Trixie flaunts all at Halloweenie show
Trixie said: "You can put the circus into a stripper, but you can't take the stripper out of the circus!"
Reasserting the flyer's promise of acrobatics, spanking and stupidity, she welcomed Doctor Donut, "their stupidest friend of all."
Doctor Donut was the show's host, a cynical, crude, angry character wearing a donut hat, a full-bodied white leotard and pink rain boots.
As he paraded around the stage, his gait was reminiscent of Penguin's walk in Batman Returns - awkward, stiff steps, as though he had been constipated for three weeks. His purposely poorly stuffed-with-cotton mid-section, looking like cottage-cheese cellulite, was decorated with plastic donut and topped off with a Velcroed-on, rectangular donut hanging between his thighs and cinnamon bun kneecaps.
As he dove into each comedic skit, his voice varied between three voices. First was a piercing voice reminiscent of the girls on The Hills. Second was a deep, fear-inciting, villainous voice. Third was his standard and most-used pessimistic, whining voice.
The other Trixie and Monkey skits included the "Crying Mermaid," "Trixie Gypsy," the sexual psychic, some lip-syncing to Jim Steinman's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," complimented by more go-go dancing routines and Doctor Donut mocking Britney Spears as he sang "My Prerogative," smoked a cigarette, abused baby dolls, threw liquor bottles on stage and even pulled an alien out of his "uterus."
This show is perhaps best characterized as "wacky." Go-go dancing, voluptuous women, nudity, sexual deviant acts, humiliation of audience members ... it was all there.
